The position focuses on a variety of fundraising efforts such as grant writing, cultivating corporate sponsorships, maintaining donor relationships, and organizing fundraising events. The Major Gifts, Sponsorships & Grants Coordinator will take charge of researching grant opportunities on local, state, and national levels, crafting compelling proposals, and managing all reporting obligations tied to these grants. Beyond grants, this position involves nurturing ongoing relationships with individual donors, corporations, and foundations, ensuring a diverse funding portfolio that sustains the organization’s initiatives. Developing sponsorship opportunities for agency programs and special events forms a key part of this role, making it crucial for driving awareness and essential revenue streams.

Fundraising campaigns and signature events such as Ale Trail also fall under the coordinator's purview, contributing both to donor engagement and overall fundraising success. Meticulous tracking of fundraising activities and maintenance of donor records are essential to supporting the organization’s transparency and operational efficiency.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 annually, tailored according to the candidate’s experience, and follows a Monday through Friday schedule. Job Requirements

  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid NYS driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related field with 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising or grant writing experience
  • Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience in nonprofit or human services fundraising
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid NYS driver's license
