Job Description
The employer is a property management company specializing in residential apartment communities. They are committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for their residents through diligent upkeep of both buildings and grounds. The company values high standards in property maintenance and is dedicated to enhancing the living experience of all residents by ensuring that all common areas and residential units are regularly cleaned and maintained to meet or exceed company standards. They operate multiple residential properties and foster a team-oriented work culture that emphasizes reliability, thoroughness, and professional growth. This position is a full-time role with a competitive salary reflective of the experience and skills required for the Maintenance Technician\/Cleaner position.
The Maintenance Technician\/Cleaner role is critical to the ongoing cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. Reporting to supervisory personnel, the technician plays a supportive yet essential role in ensuring that all assigned areas, including common spaces and vacant residential units, are thoroughly cleaned and maintained in accordance with company guidelines. This position involves day-to-day cleaning duties covering offices, laundry rooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, bathrooms, windows, and trash removal to assure a pristine living environment for residents.
Additionally, the technician is responsible for performing detailed heavy cleaning on unoccupied apartments during unit turnover, including washing walls, appliances, floors, and windows, with time expectations depending on the apartment size. Regular inspections of the entire grounds are conducted daily to remove debris and report any damages promptly. During adverse weather conditions such as snow or ice events, the technician is tasked with clearing and treating entryways and sidewalks to maintain hazard-free access. The role also entails supporting maintenance projects alongside the Maintenance Lead Technician as needed, documenting work accurately through timesheets and work orders, and participating in on-call rotations. This position demands physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and a focus on safety practices to keep the community orderly and inviting. It provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in apartment maintenance seeking a stable position in a professional residential management environment.
