Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related field
- Ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use mobile devices
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Ability to work regularly including weekends and holidays
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
- Physical ability to perform frequent climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting over 50 pounds, and operation of standard maintenance equipment
- May conduct occupancy checks and participate in eviction lockouts with law enforcement
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related building maintenance
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort using mobile devices and applications
- Possession of a current driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Preferred certifications include EPA Type I and II, HVAC certification, and CPO certification
Job Duties
- Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades
- Providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents
- Completing regular proactive maintenance visits in residents’ homes
- Educating residents about maintenance topics
- Completing general property condition assessments and alerting property management of urgent issues
- Reviewing technician-specific reports to identify improvement opportunities
- Performing repairs in vacant properties during the turn process
- Properly using and caring for company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles
- Performing other duties as assigned
