Job Description
WSH Management is a well-established property management company with over 20 years of experience specializing in senior and multifamily residential properties across California. Known for their comprehensive approach to both affordable and market-rate apartment communities, WSH Management currently oversees the operations and maintenance of more than 60 properties, employing over 175 professionals dedicated to enhancing resident satisfaction and property value. The company's robust presence in the market and commitment to quality service make it a leading employer within the real estate and property management industry. They pride themselves on promoting an inclusive workplace culture that respects diversity and offers equal employment opportunities to all candidates, regardless of background or personal circumstances.\n\nThe Maintenance Technician (Porter) role at WSH Management involves providing skilled maintenance services for two residential apartment communities: Pacific Arts in San Pedro, consisting of 49 units, and Carson Arts in Carson, with 46 units. This full-time position requires travel between these locations on specified days of the week (Pacific Arts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; Carson Arts on Tuesday and Thursday) and availability to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when necessary. The hourly wage for this position ranges from $26.00 to $27.00, reflecting the company's commitment to offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.\n\nThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for a wide variety of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the properties remain safe, clean, and operationally efficient. These duties include executing work orders related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs; performing exterior maintenance and general building upkeep; and ensuring the overall appearance and safety of the apartment communities. The position requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, such as inspections and system checks, as well as responsive maintenance to tenant requests and emergencies. Furthermore, the maintenance technician plays a key role in apartment turnovers and renovation support, liquidating maintenance records, and coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.\n\nEffective communication is vital in this role, as the Maintenance Technician must regularly interact with residents, property managers, staff, and external vendors, exhibiting excellent customer service and professionalism at all times. Additionally, the technician is expected to keep detailed records, utilize safety equipment properly, and maintain an organized workspace and inventory. By contributing to the smooth operation and appearance of these residential communities, the Maintenance Technician supports WSH Management's mission to provide residents with safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environments. The opportunity offers potential for growth and advancement within the company, making it ideal for candidates seeking a stable and rewarding career in property maintenance.
