Job Description

HomeTowne Studios by RedRoof is a prominent management company known for providing high-quality extended stay hotel experiences across 20 different states. Established as a leader in the hospitality industry, HomeTowne Studios focuses on optimizing guest satisfaction while simultaneously creating an engaging and rewarding work environment for its employees. The company not only renovates and upgrades its properties regularly—in 2018 they underwent significant remodeling efforts—but also continuously evaluates and improves the guest and employee experience through dedicated training programs and operational excellence. The culture at HomeTowne Studios emphasizes respect, growth, and the pursuit of excellence, making it an excellent place for professionals seeking stability and career advancement within the hotel management sector.

As a Maintenance Technician II at HomeTowne Studios, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and maintenance of our extended stay hotel properties. This is a hands-on, dynamic position that requires a well-rounded technician capable of handling various maintenance tasks essential to keeping guest rooms, common areas, and exterior environments in pristine condition. Your contributions will directly impact the overall guest experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Competitive compensation is offered for this role, with starting wages ranging from $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity for candidates who are adept at multitasking and thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere. HomeTowne Studios values employees who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high standards of operational quality.

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for assisting the facility manager with routine and preventive maintenance for the hotel's guest rooms and common areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in various parts of the property such as stairwells, entrances, exits, and garages. Painting tasks, including touch-ups on walls, doors, poles, signs, and curbs, are also central to maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the hotel. Additionally, you will replace light bulbs and maintain the cleanliness and safety of parking lots.

Customer service forms an integral part of this role. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be expected to resolve customer complaints either independently or with supervision, ensuring that any maintenance-related issues are addressed promptly and professionally. This is a position that demands versatility and responsiveness, as duties may vary day-to-day based on hotel needs. Given the nature of the hospitality industry, a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential to thrive in this role.

HomeTowne Studios also offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting not only the immediate needs of their employees but also long-term career growth and financial security. These benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, employer-paid life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Career growth opportunities are emphasized, allowing dedicated employees to advance within the company and expand their skill sets. Joining HomeTowne Studios means becoming part of a team where your contributions are valued and you have the chance to build a sustainable career in hotel management and maintenance.
