The Martino Group is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join their team. This role is essential in maintaining the high-quality appearance and operational excellence of the company's Class-A properties. The position operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, and includes a rotating on-call duty during nights, weekends, and holidays. As a Maintenance Technician I, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including routine and preventative maintenance such as interior and exterior painting, replacing light bulbs, checking emergency lighting, and replacing filters. The technician will respond promptly to resident repair requests covering areas such as electrical, plumbing, appliances, sheetrock, and entry gates or doors. Beyond technical maintenance, the technician must exhibit excellent customer service skills and take pride in preparing apartments for new tenants, ensuring all work meets The Martino Group's stringent 'White Glove Standards'. This position suits someone who enjoys variety, working independently, and takes ownership of their role in enhancing property value and tenant satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • must have a satisfactory background check and drug screen
  • must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • general maintenance in a property management environment
  • 2+ years of basic property/general facility maintenance experience
  • must have own tools and reliable transportation
  • familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • work with minimal supervision
  • deadline and detailed oriented
  • ability to deal well with people
  • strong knowledge in all areas of property maintenance including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • general maintenance in a property management environment
  • 2+ years of basic property/general facility maintenance experience
  • painting experience
  • EPA Universal certification
  • familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • work with minimal supervision
  • deadline and detailed oriented
  • ability to deal well with people
  • must have own tools and reliable transportation
  • strong knowledge in all areas of property maintenance including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance

Job Duties

  • perform routine and preventative maintenance to the property
  • interior and exterior painting
  • repairs such as sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, appliances
  • replace light bulbs and check emergency lighting
  • check and repair entry gates/doors as needed
  • complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • complete all make-ready maintenance to The Martino Group standards
