HomeTowne Studios is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join their team. This role offers a starting wage between $19 and $20 per hour, commensurate with experience. The Maintenance Technician I plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of the hotel property by performing a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This position demands a hands-on approach in ensuring that guest rooms and common areas are well-maintained, clean, and secure. The technician will be responsible for handling general maintenance duties such as painting, caulking, floor care, changing light bulbs, as well as managing landscaping and exterior upkeep.
The Maintenance Technician I must demonstrate the ability to complete work orders efficiently and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities. This role requires someone who is proactive in conducting self-room inspections and responsive to feedback from hotel management and team members, ensuring continuous quality improvement. Confidentiality in handling guest information and hotel data is a key element of this position. The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal supervision and has the physical capability to operate equipment and perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Additionally, the ability to work in non-climate controlled environments and manage the safety protocols around keys and locks is essential. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferably 1 year maintenance experience
- knowledge of general tools and equipment
- knowledge of lawnmower and landscaping tools
- ability to operate independently with minimal direction
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms and common areas
- manage the completion and documentation of maintenance work orders
- complete repairs and maintenance on rooms including painting, caulking, carpet and floor cleaning, changing light bulbs, and toilet seats
- maintain safety and security of the hotel and follow key and lock procedures
- maintain landscaping, parking lot, grounds, and exterior appearance of buildings, keeping areas free of trash and debris
- maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
- perform self-room inspections and accept feedback from quality inspections
- perform all other duties as assigned
