POAH Communities is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Technician for Fairweather Apartments, which comprises four buildings situated across the scenic North Shore of Massachusetts, including Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, and Salem. These communities are renowned for their rich history, natural beauty, and easy access to beaches, parks, historic sites, dining, and recreational opportunities. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring that Fairweather Apartments remains a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents. This is a hands-on position involving routine preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repair tasks to uphold the quality and integrity of the apartment properties.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities combined with practical maintenance expertise. Their responsibilities will include identifying and correcting unsafe conditions, adhering to pertinent laws and safety regulations such as EPA and OSHA standards, performing minor repairs, and making ready apartments for new residents. They will also assist in maintaining the grounds by keeping the outdoor spaces clean and orderly. This role demands flexibility to work weekends and be on-call when necessary, as well as proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
