The Lodge at Madrona, one of Greystar's communities, is a modern residential complex offering inviting one and two-bedroom apartment homes situated in a notable neighborhood. Residents can enjoy access to a fitness center and various amenities, creating an engaging and convenient living experience. The position available is a maintenance role within this community that involves overseeing and performing technical and mechanical tasks to ensure the community's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar's high standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. This role is integral to maintaining the quality and upkeep of the property, directly contributing to resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing work orders, conducting routine inspections, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting budget development and cost control initiatives. The hourly salary range for this position is $39.00 to $43.00, reflecting the skilled nature of the work and the company’s commitment to compensating employees fairly. Additionally, compensation may include bonuses depending on individual and company performance, providing further financial incentives for excellence. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • relevant experience in property or building maintenance
  • own hand and power tools unless prohibited by law
  • ability to apply logical thinking
  • proficiency in customer service
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • computer literacy including property management systems
  • mathematical aptitude for financial documents
  • EPA certifications if required
  • valid driver’s license for property vehicles
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift weights up to 50 pounds
  • able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • capable of working in various weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, GED, or related experience and training
  • experience in property management maintenance or related trades
  • proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication
  • ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and solve problems
  • proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • mathematical skills to handle financial and administrative documents
  • knowledge of safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
  • EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal if working on HVAC
  • valid driver’s license if operating golf cart
  • certification as required by state and local laws

Job Duties

  • assists and completes work orders from resident requests for service
  • oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant apartment homes
  • develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of community grounds and buildings
  • inspects work performed by service team members and contractors
  • maintains inventory of maintenance materials and orders supplies
  • completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures
  • assists in developing budget for repair and maintenance
  • supports cost-cutting and expense control programs
  • conducts safety meetings and ensures compliance with OSHA and safety laws
  • demonstrates customer service skills by treating residents with respect and efficiently handling work orders
