Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in facility maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license with no major violations
- Ability to maintain safety and infection control standards
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in building maintenance
- Prior experience in managing a team
- Knowledge of plumbing systems including commodes, fixtures, drains, hot water heaters, dishwashers, and ice machines
- Understanding of HVAC principles and heat pump operation
- Familiarity with electrical systems including wiring, voltage, and amperage
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including engine design and operation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Duties
- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance of facility building, equipment, and grounds
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems efficiently and accurately
- Provide maintenance services for emergency needs outside of regular working hours
- Assist residents with moving and minor repairs
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, including infection control measures
- Set priorities and complete maintenance tasks independently and timely
- Maintain positive, courteous, and respectful interactions with residents, families, staff, and visitors
