This job opportunity is for the position of Maintenance Person within a McDonald's restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee. It is important to note that the employment relationship and related decisions such as hiring, firing, staffing, and scheduling are handled solely by the independent franchisee and not by McDonald's Corporation or McDonald's USA, LLC. Therefore, the franchisee is responsible for all employment matters.
The role of Maintenance Person is pivotal to maintaining the restaurant's excellent standards of cleanliness and equipment functionality, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and team members. The Maintenance Person assists the management team with maintaining superior interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of restaurant equipment. The responsibilities encompass daily operational tasks such as filtering oil from fryers to support food quality and safety, maintaining the appearance and care of the outside grounds, and cleaning various equipment including windows, stock rooms, and restrooms to uphold hygiene standards. This position requires a proactive approach to facility care, including changing light bulbs, emptying the trash compactor, and cleaning HVAC and exhaust units to ensure optimal restaurant operations.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and climbing
- availability to work flexible hours
- reliable transportation
- strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- Filter oil fryers daily
- maintain outside grounds
- clean equipment, inside and outside windows, stock rooms and restrooms
- unload delivery truck 2 times a week
- take out and empty trash compactor
