Hydro is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team at the City of Industry, CA location. This permanent role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future through maintenance excellence at one of the leaders in the aluminium and renewable energy sector. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be instrumental in ensuring the operational efficiency and longevity of production equipment by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems. Your work will involve maintaining press lines, casting equipment, packing, and paint systems, as well as general building and utility systems to optimize production reliability. In addition to hands-on repairs, the role requires active participation in equipment upgrades and enhancements, maintaining thorough documentation and work orders, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards in the maintenance shop.
This role offers competitive compensation, including a base rate of $38 per hour with additional shift differentials for evening and night shifts. Shift timings are clearly outlined – the second shift runs from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, and the third shift from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, reflecting Hydro's commitment to flexible and comprehensive shift coverage.

- At least 3 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
- ability to read and use a tape measure that shows measurements in feet and inches
- high school diploma or GED equivalent

Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on press lines, casting equipment, packing systems, and paint systems
- troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems
- replace defective parts and conduct necessary repairs
- maintain building, grounds, and utility systems
- assist with equipment upgrades, replacements, and enhancements
- obtain and maintain a Mobile Equipment license (e.g., Forklift, Scissor Lift)
- enter and manage work orders for identified issues or deficiencies
- maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- ensure the maintenance shop is clean and well-organized
- exhibit a proactive approach to continuous improvement and stay informed on advancements in relevant systems and technologies
