The Maintenance Helper Clerk role is critical to the smooth operation of the Metropolitan Market, working diligently behind the scenes to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the store and its surrounding grounds. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven success working in a diverse team environment
  • ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output under deadlines
  • excellent time management skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • understanding of basic health and sanitation requirements
  • knowledge of cleaning tools and solutions
  • valid Washington State Food Workers Card
  • successful background and reference checks

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of industry-related cleaning tools and solutions
  • MSDS experience preferred

Job Duties

  • perform general cleaning and maintenance responsibilities for the interior and exterior of the store including surrounding grounds
  • assist with maintaining interior and exterior areas of the store including equipment and fixtures
  • provide excellent customer service including helping guests find products locating team members to best serve guest needs and pleasantly cleaning-up any breakage or spills resulting from guest accidents
  • prevent internal and external loss
