Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant that operates under a McDonald’s franchise independently owned and managed by a franchisee, which is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, running the business autonomously in terms of operations and employment. Therefore, the franchisee is the actual employer responsible for all employment-related matters, including hiring, firing, scheduling, staffing, and disciplinary actions. McDonald’s USA has no control or involvement in these employment decisions and will not receive any application submissions or participate in the interview or hiring process. This distinction is important for job seekers to understand as they pursue a career opportunity with this restaurant.

The role available is for a Maintenance Person who will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the restaurant. The position is designed for individuals who want to work in a dynamic environment, enjoy hands-on tasks, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for both employees and customers. This job offers competitive pay and is structured to support the employee with the necessary tools and training to perform well.

The Maintenance Person’s responsibilities are varied and essential for the day-to-day function of the restaurant. Tasks will include filtering oil fryers daily to ensure food quality, maintaining the cleanliness of exterior grounds to uphold the restaurant’s curb appeal, cleaning equipment and windows both inside and out to meet health and safety standards, unloading delivery trucks bi-weekly to keep inventory flowing, handling waste disposal including emptying trash compactors, changing light bulbs as needed to maintain adequate lighting, and cleaning HVAC/exhaust units and roof debris to comply with operational requirements. Each of these duties is aimed at creating an environment that is safe, clean, efficient, and inviting.

Working in this franchise offers exciting career growth opportunities. Employees can choose flexible hours that fit their lifestyle and educational pursuits. The company encourages building skills and personal growth through coaching, leadership training, and operational experience. Beyond the job itself, employees have access to a broad range of benefits that support their health, education, and financial security. These include medical, dental, and vision coverage; pre-tax spending accounts; disability and life insurance; paid vacation and holidays; sabbatical options; and programs like college tuition assistance and English language classes through the Archways to Opportunity initiative. Other perks include paid leaves of absence, service awards, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program.

This is more than just a job; it is a chance to build a fulfilling career with a trusted brand, gaining valuable skills in restaurant operations and maintenance. Whether you are seeking your first job, looking to advance your career, or balancing work with education, this Maintenance Person position is designed to help you succeed and grow while being part of a driven, supportive team.
