The Maintenance Associate role at Sam's Club is an important position focused on upholding the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the club to ensure an excellent shopping experience for members. This role requires a proactive and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe and inviting environment. Maintenance Associates are responsible for tasks such as keeping the parking lot tidy, cleaning restrooms, managing floors, and responding quickly to spills or hazards. This position involves physical activity, including being on your feet for entire shifts and performing duties in a fast-paced, ever-changing work setting.
As a Maintenance Associate, you play a key role in delivering a positive first and last impression to members by ensuring that they encounter a spotless and safe facility throughout their visit. This position demands attention to detail, adaptability, and a strong commitment to member satisfaction. With an emphasis on safety, associates follow strict company and regulatory guidelines, including handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly and adhering to safety protocols related to equipment use and facility maintenance.
Sam's Club offers competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, with potential additional compensation through performance-based incentives and premiums. Benefits for associates include comprehensive health coverage—medical, vision, and dental—financial benefits such as 401(k) plans and company-paid life insurance, and various paid time off options, including PTO, parental leave, and bereavement leave. Employees also have access to unique programs like Live Better U, which pays for educational opportunities ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and certification programs. Additional perks include company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and more.
