The role of Maintenance Attendant at Sandpiper Hospitality is vital to ensuring that hotel properties remain in optimal condition, both inside and out. This hands-on position involves general and preventive maintenance duties that directly impact the overall guest experience and property quality. As a Maintenance Attendant, you will be the frontline problem-solver, responsible for performing light plumbing and electrical repairs, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, maintaining grounds and common areas, and supporting other property operations including laundry and housekeeping. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

In this position, you will handle multiple operational tasks such as fixing minor plumbing issues, changing electrical outlets and wall switches, executing studio preventive maintenance (painting, caulking, pest control), and keeping common areas and parking lots clean and well-maintained. Your work will help uphold Sandpiper Hospitality's Value Place Brand Standards and contribute significantly to a seamless guest experience.

The Maintenance Attendant also serves an important role in emergency response as an on-call responder to urgent maintenance needs. The position supports other hotel attendants through cross-training and backup duties, ensuring efficient property operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance
  • Strong commitment to safety and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests
  • Willingness to perform laundry and housekeeping duties
  • Reliable and dependable with excellent time management
  • Ability to work flexible hours including being on-call for emergencies

Job Qualifications

  • Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction
  • Excellent dependability and sense of urgency
  • Willingness to perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Prior experience in hotel, apartment, or extended stay maintenance roles preferred
  • Experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as carpet shampoo machines preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform light and preventive maintenance of facility interior and exterior, Complete light plumbing tasks such as toilet repair and snaking, Handle light electrical tasks including changing outlets and wall switches, Execute studio preventive maintenance programs including painting, caulking, and janitorial work, Maintain and clean public spaces including parking lot upkeep, Perform laundry duties such as sorting, washing, and folding linen, Provide backup coverage and cross-train for Move-Out, Stay-Over, and Flex Attendant duties, Respond to maintenance emergencies as on-call personnel, Adhere to all assigned duties and supervision standards
