Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee authorized to use McDonald’s logos and food products. It is important to note that this franchisee is a completely separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA, handling all employment matters independently. This unique arrangement offers candidates the opportunity to work in a dynamic restaurant setting with the backing of a well-known global brand, while being employed directly by the franchisee company. The franchisee manages all aspects of employment including hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, and workplace discipline for their restaurant operations. Any job application or employment communication is directed exclusively to the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA, ensuring a personalized approach to employment management and career development within the local franchise.

The role advertised is for a Maintenance Person who will play a vital role in ensuring the restaurant's environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained both inside and outside the premises. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in maintaining equipment and restaurant facilities, while supporting the overall guest experience through a well-kept atmosphere. The Maintenance Person is an essential member of the restaurant team, helping to uphold high standards of cleanliness and equipment functionality that contribute to smooth daily operations.

As part of this position, you will be supported with the necessary tools and training to perform a variety of maintenance duties. These responsibilities include filtering oil in fryers daily to maintain food quality, caring for the outside grounds to ensure curb appeal, cleaning various equipment and surfaces, unloading delivery trucks, managing waste through the trash compactor, changing light bulbs, and maintaining HVAC and exhaust units along with roof debris removal. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing both routine and unexpected maintenance tasks, helping the restaurant to run efficiently and safely.

Working at this franchise provides competitive pay and a comprehensive range of benefits. Candidates can expect paid vacation ranging from 15 to 25 days, 10 paid holidays, and an eight-week sabbatical every 10 years. The McDonald’s Archways to Opportunity program offers additional educational and personal growth benefits such as opportunities to earn a high school diploma, college tuition assistance, and English language classes for non-native speakers. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are included alongside pre-tax flexible spending accounts, short- and long-term disability, life and accident insurance, and paid leaves of absence. Employees also benefit from service awards, referral programs through the Employee Resource Connection, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program, underscoring the franchisee’s commitment to employee well-being and community involvement.

This role provides an excellent pathway to a satisfying career with opportunities for advancement and personal growth. Whether you are looking to develop leadership skills, manage or support business operations, or simply desire a stable and rewarding part-time or full-time job with flexible hours, this Maintenance Person role offers the chance to join a motivated team that values energy, purpose, and teamwork. By joining this independent franchisee-operated restaurant, you are setting course for a meaningful career that can help you achieve your goals and build a future with strong benefits and ongoing support.
