The role of Host at Lucida Desert Kitchen + Bar, one of the centerpiece dining venues at Outbound Sedona, is essential in setting the stage for guest interactions through exceptional hospitality. The Host will serve as the first and last point of contact with guests, embodying a warm and welcoming presence to create memorable dining experiences. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational ability, and a genuine passion for guest service. The host will manage seating arrangements and reservations, maintain smooth dining room operations, and collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and restaurant leadership to ensure that service flows seamlessly and that guest needs are met promptly. This is a fast-paced role demanding multitasking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move throughout the restaurant and outdoor dining areas
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible with work days and hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Passion for providing exceptional guest service
  • Team-oriented with a positive and adaptable attitude

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests and provide a genuine welcome experience
  • Manage reservations and waitlists accurately
  • Escort guests to tables and present menus
  • Monitor dining room activity and support service flow
  • Communicate guest needs and special requests with team members
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and entry area
  • Address guest concerns promptly and take initiative to resolve issues
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
  • Support team members to ensure seamless dining experience
