Job Description

Alaska Airlines is a major American airline headquartered in Seattle, Washington, recognized for its strong commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and innovation in the aviation industry. Founded in 1932, Alaska Airlines has grown to become one of the leading carriers in the United States, serving millions of passengers annually. The airline operates a comprehensive network of domestic and international routes, including key hubs such as Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Portland International Airport, and a growing presence in Laredo, Texas. Alaska Airlines prides itself on delivering a premium travel experience, including a range of services such as loyalty programs, premium cabins, and exclusive airport lounges.

This role is specifically located in Laredo, Texas, an important regional hub for the airline’s network expansion and customer service operations. Alaska Airlines is currently seeking a Lounge Concierge, a role that offers flexible, contract employment with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $30, approximating an annual salary of around $54,100. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in premium customer service and want to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within the aviation and hospitality industries.

As a Lounge Concierge at Alaska Airlines’ premium airport lounge, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience to First Class passengers, oneworld elite members, and lounge members. The concierge is the face of the lounge, responsible for warmly welcoming guests, verifying access credentials, answering travel-related inquiries including re-bookings and seat changes, and maintaining the lounge environment to the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness. The role is not only about hospitality but also requires problem-solving skills and expert knowledge of Alaska Airlines’ premium products and services to meet guests’ unique needs.

The position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to stand for extended periods, and the flexibility to work a shift-based schedule that includes early morning, late evening, weekend, and holiday shifts due to the lounge’s 7-day operation. The role also requires passing TSA and airport background checks to ensure compliance with security standards.

Working for Alaska Airlines in Laredo offers more than just a job; it is an opportunity to join a team dedicated to customer satisfaction, professional growth, and aviation excellence. Employees benefit from a robust compensation package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plans, paid training, profit sharing, and travel privileges on Alaska Airlines and their oneworld partners. This is an excellent chance for those passionate about premium customer service and aviation to grow their career in a supportive, renowned company with a significant presence and future in Laredo, Texas.
