Camping World is currently seeking a dedicated Lot Porter to join their growing team. This role is an integral part of the dealership operations, responsible for maintaining and preparing RVs on the lot with the utmost care, efficiency, and professionalism. The Lot Porter plays a critical role in ensuring that vehicles are properly positioned, clean, and presentable for customers, contributing directly to sales success and the overall positive customer experience. The position requires the ability to safely operate and maneuver large vehicles such as RVs, yard tractors, and forklifts, as well as perform light maintenance and upkeep around the lot.
This role involves various tasks including moving and parking RV units, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the lot, installing and removing window pricing, writing work orders, and tracking maintenance issues. The Lot Porter must also ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the vehicles and equipment are secure against environmental elements. Successful candidates will need to have a valid driver's license, a strong safety-oriented mindset, and physical stamina to handle standing, bending, and operating equipment for prolonged periods. The role offers a varied and active workday outdoors, suitable for individuals who enjoy hands-on tasks and working as part of a team committed to customer satisfaction.
Employment is hourly, with a competitive pay range of $15.02 to $28.71 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Full-time employees benefit from a comprehensive package that includes medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, 401(k) plans, employee assistance programs, and other perks such as tuition reimbursement, parental leave, and discounts. Part-time employees have access to dental and vision coverage. Camping World values diversity and inclusion, striving to provide equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected attributes, making it an excellent choice for candidates seeking a stable and supportive work environment in the outdoor recreational industry.
