Job Description
Camping World is a leading retailer and service provider in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry, dedicated to enhancing the outdoor adventure experience for customers across the United States. Established as a trusted name in RV sales, service, and accessories, Camping World offers a wide selection of new and used RVs, along with comprehensive maintenance and support services. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service, expert advice, and a welcoming environment for outdoor enthusiasts. With numerous locations nationwide, Camping World continues to expand its presence, catering to both seasoned RV owners and new customers eager to explore the outdoors in their own mobile homes.
The Lot Porter position at Camping World plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational flow and professional appearance of the dealership's outdoor lot. As part of the first-class service team, a Lot Porter is responsible for the careful movement and placement of RV units, ensuring that vehicles are displayed attractively and ready for customer viewing. This role involves more than just vehicle movement; it includes maintaining cleanliness, performing routine lot washes, and ensuring that all units meet the necessary presentation standards. The Lot Porter also handles administrative tasks such as writing work orders and tracking any issues found with the units to facilitate timely maintenance and repairs.
This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.27 to $27.27, dependent on skills, experience, and certifications, along with a benefits package that includes paid time off, 401(k) plans, employee assistance programs, and more. The role suits individuals who are comfortable operating yard tractors, forklifts, and RVs, and who have the physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, and lifting. Given the nature of the job, candidates will need to work safely in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
Joining Camping World as a Lot Porter means becoming part of a supportive team focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience. The company emphasizes a safe, clean, and organized workspace, fostering a positive atmosphere both internally and for visiting customers. The role also offers on-the-job training opportunities and potential for career growth within the company. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicles, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professional excellence in the RV industry.
