This includes tasks such as parking vehicles neatly to enhance the lot’s visual appeal for potential buyers and transporting cars efficiently to service bays or other locations within the dealership to support operational flow. The position demands physical stamina, as the job involves regular lifting, bending, and spending prolonged periods standing or walking at the dealership. Additionally, this role requires the ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions meticulously, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels. The Lot Porter is also expected to manage important inventory elements such as key tags and window stickers, ensuring all vehicles are properly marked and ready for sale or service moves.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Assist sales and service departments in maintaining the vehicle lots
  • transport vehicles to appropriate departments for service and inventory control
  • park vehicles according to dealership policy and sales/marketing direction to enhance lot appearance
  • add and maintain key tags and window stickers on lot vehicles
  • drive vehicles to other dealerships for dealer swaps or to vendors as requested
  • pick up or deliver customers as requested using dealership vehicles
