This role we are presenting now is that of a Lot Attendant based at Garber Chevrolet Subaru in Webster, New York. As a Lot Attendant, you will play a crucial part in the daily operations of the dealership by maintaining vehicle inventory organization and appearance. The Lot Attendant will be responsible for positioning vehicles appropriately as directed, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all vehicles on display meet dealership standards for cleanliness and presentation. This involves preparing new vehicles for display by removing plastics and stickers and installing sales price mirror signs as necessary. Attention to detail in reporting any damage or malfunctions helps ensure the ongoing quality of the dealership's inventory. Additionally, the role requires delivering vehicles to final destinations and service departments, managing the demo vehicle lineup with adequate fuel and cleanliness, and keeping the lot's walkways and landscape clean and safe from debris, ice, or snow.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • prior customer service experience preferred but not required
  • valid driver's license required as well as clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Places vehicles in proper inventory position as directed
  • keeps equipment in good working order
  • installs sales price mirror signs when required
  • strips all new vehicles of plastics and stickers for front lot display
  • assists in physically delivering vehicles to final destination when required
  • reports all lot damage or malfunctioning of vehicles on display to supervisor
  • delivers damaged or malfunctioning vehicles to the Service Department
  • ensures vehicles within demo line are maintained in a presentable fashion such as gas and cleanliness
  • ensures walkways and entrances to showroom are free of debris, ice and snow at all times
  • ensures all landscape areas are free of debris, weeds, and trash at all times
  • performs other related duties as assigned
