Job Description

ABM is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, committed to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments across a wide array of industries. Established in 1909 and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ABM, the company serves over 20,000 clients worldwide. Their services span janitorial, engineering, parking management, electrical and lighting services, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical systems, landscape and turf maintenance, as well as mission-critical solutions. ABM operates through more than 350 offices across the United States and internationally, including the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, employing over 100,000 team members. Their clientele covers a vast range of sectors such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues.

The Employee Lot Attendant role is a frontline position pivotal to the efficient operation and security of parking facilities, particularly at airports. This role requires operating in a high-paced, outdoor environment where the attendant functions as the primary guardian of secured parking areas. The attendant is responsible for granting access exclusively to authorized individuals by verifying and enforcing credential requirements. As a vital link in day-to-day facility operations, this role demands a high level of professionalism when interacting with diverse groups including airport staff, airline employees, contractors, and guests. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying valet procedures, managing traffic flow, and responding to inquiries from customers and team members alike. Responsibilities include monitoring for illegal parking, safely operating and relocating vehicles, safeguarding guest keys, and assisting patrons with vehicle loading and unloading.

Beyond daily operational tasks, the Employee Lot Attendant also plays a key role in ensuring smooth customer experiences during peak traffic times, predicting flow patterns, and coordinating additional support to minimize wait times. Financial responsibilities include collecting valet payments, accurately reconciling daily revenue, and managing tip pools. This position is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, especially those with limited prior experience or education. ABM highly encourages veterans and candidates with military backgrounds to apply, recognizing their skills and discipline as valuable assets to the team. Compensation for this hourly position starts at $17.00 per hour, with specific pay offers tailored based on experience, skills, location, and market alignment. ABM also offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting frontline team members' well-being and professional growth.
