The Surveillance Monitor position at Parkwest Bicycle Casino is a vital role designed to maintain a safe and fair gaming environment. This full-time swing shift role focuses on the video surveillance of the casino floor, including observing patrons and staff to preserve the integrity of the games and protect all individuals and assets within the casino premises. The Surveillance Monitor is responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment to monitor various areas such as gambling tables, cages, hallways, parking lots, and work areas. With a wage range between 22.00 to 22.75 USD per hour, the role demands a high level of vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to any incidents.

In this role, the monitor will handle various technical equipment including photo printers, VCRs, rewinders, AD keyboards, and audio consoles, ensuring all surveillance footage is accurately recorded and reported. Daily tasks will include compiling observation reports, monitoring the Main Cage Count room, and maintaining surveillance tape archives. The candidate must be able to conduct live monitoring without losing sight of subjects, communicate clearly with team members, and demonstrate thorough knowledge of all games offered by the casino. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary. Candidates with previous experience in administrative roles, knowledge of compliance software, or familiarity with video surveillance and specific card games will find this an advantageous fit. Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test

Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling and ready for all programs and activities
Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred
Two years similar administrative experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
Qualified candidate must be computer literate in Microsoft Office
Prior compliance knowledge of compliance software highly desired
Familiarity with video surveillance equipment preferred
Familiarity with poker and California card games preferred

Job Duties

Positions surveillance cameras to cover the areas that need observation i.e. gambling tables cages hallways parking lots and work areas
Ability to learn to operate video surveillance equipment photo printer VCR rewinder AD keyboard and audio console
Completes reports of observations and incidents in the timely fashion
Documents incidents observations and activities on the Daily Shift Report
Able to make a compilation tape using all pertinent angles
Capable of conducting live monitoring of a patron or team member while they walk through the Casino and the outside perimeter without losing them
Operates and maintains all surveillance equipment
Will rewind change make necessary labels and properly store surveillance tapes on a daily basis
Monitors the count in the Main Cage Count room
Observes and reports all discrepancies to the proper authority and/or departments
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and by telephone
Ensures that assigned work area in maintained in a good and safe state of repair
Knowledgeable in all games offered by the casino
Must be able to work any shift including weekends holidays and overtime when necessary
Other job related duties as assigned
