Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- proven experience in international freight management, logistics operations, or related fields
- strong knowledge of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation
- analytical skills to analyze complex data and identify trends
- very strong Excel skills
- experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite or Coupa
- authorization to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations
- ability to work at least one day per week in a U.S. office (San Francisco, Nashville, Austin, or Buffalo)
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- advanced degree or professional certifications such as Certified International Supply Chain Professional preferred
- proven experience of 5 or more years in international freight management, logistics operations, or related fields
- strong understanding of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics best practices
- very strong Excel skills
- experience working in an ERP system such as Netsuite or Coupa
Job Duties
- develop and execute logistics strategies that enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and support business growth
- establish key performance indicators to measure and improve logistics performance
- build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers
- negotiate contracts and oversee performance to ensure adherence to service level agreements and cost-effectiveness
- partner with internal teams, including supply chain, engineering, warehousing, and sales, to align logistics with business objectives
- ensure seamless coordination of freight activities to meet operational and customer requirements
- analyze freight costs, transportation routes, and shipping methods to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
- implement automation and best practices to optimize global logistics operations
- ensure the accuracy and timeliness of import/export documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and shipping manifests
- serve as the primary escalation point for logistics-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of shipment delays, compliance challenges, and service disruptions
- communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates, risk assessments, and solutions to improve logistics performance
