Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics supply chain management international business or a related field
- minimum of 5 years experience in logistics management and trade compliance
- thorough knowledge of international trade laws regulations and customs procedures
- proven leadership abilities and team management experience
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- ability to maintain high attention to detail with accuracy
- proficiency in relevant logistics and compliance technology
- preferred certification in trade compliance including certified customs specialist or licensed customs broker

Job Duties
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to streamline the movement of goods and materials
- monitor and optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times
- negotiate and manage contracts with logistics service providers
- ensure timely delivery of products to customers while maintaining high service levels
- develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize shipping routes and reduce transportation costs
- stay current with international trade laws and regulations including import/export regulations customs requirements and trade sanctions
- develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the companys adherence to trade regulations
- identify regulatory compliance needs for existing and new product categories such as CE UK/CA Prop 65 etc
- identify and mitigate trade compliance risks associated with import/export shipments including screening recordkeeping product classification country of origin and valuation
- consult on best practices for sourcing shipping and tariff mitigation as required
- conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify and rectify potential issues
- manage import/export documentation including customs declarations licenses and permits
- collaborate with customs brokers and government agencies to resolve compliance issues
- identify and assess potential risks related to international trade and logistics operations
- implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- ensure proper insurance coverage for cargo and shipments
- monitor logistics and compliance-related expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
- identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- generate and analyze reports related to logistics performance compliance metrics and cost savings
- present findings and recommendations to senior management
