Job Requirements
- Class B commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience operating straight trucks and tractor trailers
- Knowledge of government regulations governing hazardous waste transportation
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintain driver documentation
- Understanding of state weight limit laws
- Capability to use company technology and software
- Ability to interact with customers professionally
- Willingness to participate in safety training and programs
- Physical ability to perform required duties
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Job Qualifications
- Class B Commercial Driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and compressor systems
- Skilled in the use of hand and shop tools and instruments
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation and metal fabrication
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Duties
- Operates trucks including roll-offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor trailers and box trucks
- Performs less than load pickups
- Maintains driver documents such as logbook, permit book, trip reports and waste manifests
- Ensures accurate placarding, load securement, hazardous material load segregation and labeling
- Understands and complies with state weight limit laws
- Maintains company equipment
- Utilizes company technology including mobile applications and software
- Conducts DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicates effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Processes hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Assists with housekeeping at facility and grounds
- Functions as technician on lab pack and field service projects
- Participates in site safety program and required training
- Performs other related duties as assigned
