Job Qualifications
- must be 18 years or older
- must live in or near the event area
- prior experience in event support, customer service, or team coordination preferred but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- basic problem-solving and organizational abilities
- complete availability on event weekends
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn with a team-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- assist with setup, execution, and teardown of event activities including lantern distribution, guest check-in, and site preparation
- help manage and direct local staff and volunteers ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
- provide friendly, professional assistance to attendees answering questions and resolving minor issues to enhance their experience
- support the Event Coordinator with inventory checks, equipment handling, and other operational needs
- work closely with the core team to maintain a positive, organized environment and ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly
- engage in training sessions to learn event management skills with the potential to advance to the Event Coordinator role
