Job Description
TransForce is a leading transportation staffing company dedicated to connecting professional drivers with top-tier driving opportunities across the United States. With a strong commitment to driver satisfaction, safety, and career growth, TransForce specializes in providing positions that offer steady work, reliable scheduling, and comprehensive benefits. The company has earned a reputation for fostering a supportive and driver-focused environment that prioritizes the needs and well-being of its team members. Operating in various regions, TransForce tailors its assignments to meet both client demands and driver preferences, making it a trusted partner in the logistics and transportation industry.
Currently, TransForce is seeking qualified CDL B Delivery Drivers for local routes based in LaVergne, Tennessee. This position is a temp-to-hire assignment, offering drivers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their skills and fit within the team, with a pathway to permanent employment. Drivers will handle box truck deliveries specifically focused on bread products, managing touch freight with racks of bread on rollers. The assignment entails delivering bread to various local customers and returning empty racks as part of the job responsibilities.
The role offers a flexible work schedule with shifts running Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, while Tuesdays and Saturdays are days off. Start times vary between 10 AM and 2 PM, with shifts typically lasting between 8 to 10 hours. This arrangement provides a balanced work-life dynamic for drivers. Compensation is competitive at $23 per hour plus overtime pay. Additionally, drivers gain access to a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) plan, and a referral program.
The CDL B Delivery Driver position demands a high standard of safety and professionalism. Drivers are required to operate automatic transmission box trucks and must have at least one year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience. Handling freight involves a "heavy touch," as drivers will need to manage the movement of bread racks during deliveries. Safety protocols are emphasized in compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Drivers must conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
This role is well suited for individuals who take pride in their work, possess excellent communication skills, and are physically capable of meeting the demands of the job. TransForce offers ongoing application acceptance, making it easy for eligible candidates to apply and join a team that values steady pay, assignment flexibility, and a strong support system. Whether a seasoned CDL B driver or someone looking to transition into a local delivery role, the opportunity at TransForce in LaVergne provides a stable and rewarding career path within the transportation industry.
