Job Description

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc., a leading global industrial gases and engineering company, is seeking dedicated Local Delivery Drivers with a CDL A or B license to join their team in Lancaster, TX. The Local Delivery Driver position is full-time and vital to Linde’s mission of outstanding customer service and operational excellence. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products along computer-generated local routes. Drivers are responsible for making 10-12 daily stops, interacting with customers professionally and courteously, while ensuring all deliveries are handled with precision and care. The job is physically active, requiring loading and unloading at client sites with an emphasis on safety and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Compensation for this role ranges from $29.50 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience. Delivering products safely while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with hazardous materials regulations is essential. Drivers perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identify maintenance needs, and are encouraged to build strong relationships both internally and with customers. Ideal candidates will have a valid CDL class A or B license, preferably with a Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire. A minimum of two years of consecutive driving experience or recent completion of a truck driving school certification is required. Candidates must have no preventable accidents or moving violations in the past two years, pass a DOT physical, and be capable of safely handling and lifting up to 75 pounds. High school diploma or GED and the ability to read and write English are mandatory, with a minimum age requirement of 21 years. Successful applicants exhibit strong organizational, communication, and listening skills and uphold high standards of honesty, integrity, and safety culture.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive driving experience or relevant recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate
  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
  • No preventable accidents or major moving violations within last 2 years
  • No alcohol related convictions within last 10 years
  • Age 21 or older
  • Ability to read and write English

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
  • Valid class A or B CDL is required

  • No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
  • No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years

Job Duties

  • Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
  • Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
  • Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
  • Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
  • Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
  • Other duties as assigned
