Job Description

PepsiCo is a globally recognized food and beverage leader known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. Operating across various sectors including snack foods, beverages, and convenient foods, PepsiCo has a strong market presence in millions of households worldwide. As a company, PepsiCo fosters a culture of inclusion and diversity, providing equal employment opportunities to individuals regardless of their background. They uphold strict standards on safety and compliance while focusing on community well-being and environmental stewardship. This position is based within the distribution and logistics segment of PepsiCo, which plays a crucial role in ensuring products reach customers efficiently and in perfect condition, supporting the overall customer experience.

The Driver role at PepsiCo is designed to deliver an exceptional combination of logistics, customer service, and merchandising responsibilities. The individual will operate delivery vehicles to transport products to a diverse clientele, including foodservice customers, retail stores, and vending locations. This role is vital for maintaining seamless supply chain operations by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Aside from driving, the driver will be tasked with unloading products, stocking shelves, rotating items to ensure freshness, and building attractive merchandise displays to maximize product visibility in stores. Interaction with store management and receiving personnel is a key part of the daily routine to confirm load acceptance and resolve potential issues efficiently.

Physically, the job demands considerable strength and stamina, as the driver must lift cases weighing between 20 to 45 pounds repeatedly and occasionally push or pull weights ranging from 40 to 150 pounds. Duties also include reaching, squatting, and bending during merchandising, which highlights the active nature of this position. Additionally, the driver is responsible for administrating invoicing processes and cash or charge settlements daily, necessitating accuracy and integrity.

Operated shifts run from Wednesday through Saturday with dayshift hours, offering a salary of approximately $30.55 per hour, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role. Candidates hired for this role will undergo pre-employment background checks and drug screenings and must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This job also requires a valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with specific endorsements depending on the location.

Overall, this role is suited for motivated individuals with strong driving skills, physical endurance, and a customer-focused attitude. The successful hire will contribute to PepsiCo's commitment to excellence in distribution and customer service while supporting store operations through effective merchandising and product management.
