The Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) position in Benicia, CA, is an essential role within Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. This role is focused on the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and other associated products to customers. The position involves following a computer-generated local route, making 10-12 stops per day to deliver products while handling freight and paperwork. The role requires physical activity, including loading and unloading at client sites, emphasizing hands-on engagement with customers and delivering excellent service. The Local Delivery Driver must conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage hazardous material shipping orders in line with Department of Transportation regulations, and identify vehicle maintenance needs. This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $24.17 to $35.46 based on experience, local routes with no required overnight stays, and various opportunities for career growth. Job Requirements

High School or G.E.D.
Valid class A CDL
2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
Must be able to push pull move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
21 years or older
Read and write in English
No preventable accidents license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years

Job Qualifications

2 years of consecutive driving experience or recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
Valid class A CDL
Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
No preventable accidents license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
Must be able to push pull move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Read and write in English
High School or G.E.D.
21 years or older

Job Duties

Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day while touching freight completing paperwork and providing excellent customer service
Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
