Job Description
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is one of the leading transportation logistics companies in North America, widely recognized for its commitment to innovation, safety, and employee satisfaction. Founded in 1961, J.B. Hunt has grown to become a respected name in the transportation industry, providing supply chain solutions across various sectors including intermodal, dedicated, truckload, and final mile delivery services. As a company that values operational excellence and workforce welfare, J.B. Hunt continues to thrive by fostering a people-first culture and leveraging advanced technology to optimize freight movement. The company's broad network and extensive resources make it a dominant player in the intermodal transportation segment, facilitating seamless cargo transitions between rail and truck modes.
J.B. Hunt is currently offering exciting local truck driving opportunities specifically for intermodal truck drivers. This is a full-time position designed for drivers who seek a steady and rewarding career with a reputable employer. The role offers a competitive average salary of approximately $72,000 per year, with potential safety bonus incentives available for high-performing and safe-driving individuals. Additionally, drivers benefit from daily home time, making work-life balance a priority. The company emphasizes majority no-touch freight assignments, which means more time spent driving and less physical loading or unloading of freight, allowing drivers to focus on safe and efficient operations.
Joining the J.B. Hunt Intermodal team provides drivers with express access to railyard gates, ensuring quick and efficient transitions during deliveries. They also enjoy access to on-site maintenance facilities, which helps minimize downtime and keep equipment running smoothly. The company's fleet is 100% company-owned, providing drivers with the latest, well-maintained equipment to support their daily tasks. New drivers undergo paid online orientation, reinforcing the company’s dedication to proper training and safety from day one. J.B. Hunt is proud of its culture centered around safety and rewards, consistently recognizing and compensating safe drivers.
