The Lobby Porter is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of all public spaces within the hotel, such as restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring a welcoming and spotless environment for guests.

The job involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and shampooing carpets to the highest standards. In addition, the Lobby Porter handles trash removal, disposal of insects and debris, cleaning and waxing floors, washing windows, emptying ashtrays, and moving furniture as needed. Interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner is an important part of the role, as the position supports the hotel's commitment to excellent customer service. The role also includes assisting with special cleaning projects and supporting guest room cleaning upon request. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings evenings nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required by the role
  • Customer service orientation
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace is recommended but not mandatory
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings evenings nights weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience of at least 1 year in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly desired
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including but not limited to restrooms public areas hallways stairwells elevators offices and banquet meeting conference rooms
  • Perform tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows emptying carts of soiled linens cleaning waxing floors removing and disposing of trash insects and debris and emptying ashtrays
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects such as mattress flipping furniture moves as needed
  • Assist in delivering guest requests and in cleaning guest rooms as needed
