Job Requirements
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public and lobby areas
- Capability to replenish supplies and manage inventory for assigned areas
- Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Must be physically capable of tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, lifting, and standing
- Ability to work in a self-managed environment with minimal supervision
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must comply with hotel safety and emergency procedures
- Clear communication skills to coordinate with staff and respond to guest needs
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality valued but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures is a plus
- Capacity to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously
- Willingness to assist in various hotel departments as needed
Job Duties
- Maintain overall cleanliness of lobby areas including cleaning fingerprints off glass doors and Registration Desk, vacuuming floors
- Clean and replenish supplies in public restrooms including sinks, toilets, and mop floors
- Manage pool area cleanliness, replenish supplies, remove trash, clean glass doors and tables, and check water and bromine levels in spa
- Clean exercise room mirrors and equipment, remove trash, vacuum floors, and clean glass doors
- Water flowers around the hotel exterior where applicable
- Clean guest laundry area including washer/dryer, tables and mop floors as needed
- Assist with excessive laundry when required
- Perform general cleaning of offices, front office areas, and associate break room
- Clean associate bathrooms, replenish toilet paper and paper towels, mop floors
- Communicate changes in suite status with Front Desk
- Assist Chief Engineer with guest maintenance complaints
- Deliver cribs, roll-away beds and related items to suites and document deliveries
- Know and follow hotel emergency procedures
- Handle guest special requests courteously
- Provide information to guests about Residence Inn and local area facilities and services
- Ensure swimming pool and spa maintenance duties comply with manufacturer and Health Department regulations
