This role is a full-time housekeeping position at Renaissance Hotels, situated in vibrant downtown Chicago. The position is non-management and offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.79. It demands excellent customer service skills, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a readiness to contribute to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety in public and employee spaces throughout the hotel. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms, showers, floors, glass surfaces, and furniture while ensuring compliance with safety practices and company policies.

Additional responsibilities include inspecting furniture for damage, promptly reporting maintenance needs, assisting other departments for urgent repairs, and supporting team efforts to meet overall quality expectations. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to safely handle objects up to 55 pounds, navigate narrow and elevated spaces, and perform repetitive tasks such as dusting, trash disposal, and floor cleaning. Job Duties

Clean public and employee restrooms and showers
clean glass in public and employee areas
clean floor surfaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment
dust surfaces in assigned areas
empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public spaces into proper containers
inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages
clean and maintain lights
post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary
contact other departments for urgent repairs
respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
properly store flammable materials
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
assist individuals with disabilities
support team to reach common goals
