Marriott International is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where employees' diverse backgrounds and talents are valued and celebrated, ensuring an environment where all associates can thrive. The company prides itself on its dedication to equal employment opportunities, promoting non-discrimination and embracing the rich culture of its workforce. This makes Gaylord Opryland a sought-after employer for those looking to excel in hospitality.

The part-time, non-management Rooms and Guest Services Operations position at Gaylord Opryland is a key role designed to enhance the guest experience within the lobby area. The role is compensated at a rate of $17.00 per hour and involves working day shifts where the associate acts as a vital link in activating all outlet services, including the restaurant and bar, front desk, business center, and lounge. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to provide accurate local knowledge about the property and surrounding attractions, contributing to a memorable guest stay.

In addition to guest engagement, this role requires collaboration with various hotel departments such as Bellperson, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage. The associate must respond promptly to guest calls, resolve issues, and ensure that any problems are handled efficiently and professionally. Safety is paramount, and those in this position must report accidents or unsafe conditions to management, complete necessary safety training, and comply with all company policies and uniform standards. This role also involves maintaining confidentiality of company information and protecting company assets.

Essential interpersonal skills include welcoming guests warmly, anticipating service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and demonstrating genuine appreciation. Communication must always be clear and professional, including telephone etiquette and accurate documentation. Working at Gaylord Opryland means being part of a team where positive working relationships are encouraged, and teamwork is vital to achieving quality standards and common goals. Physically, associates in this role should be able to stand, sit, or walk throughout their shift and perform light lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds independently.

This position is perfect for those who have at least one year of related experience and have completed high school or obtained a G.E.D. equivalent. Although no supervisory experience or certifications are required, the role expects proactive, creative, and dedicated individuals who align with Gaylord Hotels' STAR culture. Joining Gaylord means tapping into Marriott International’s extensive network and resources, offering unparalleled career growth opportunities, a supportive culture, and a fulfilling environment where employees can be their best selves and build purposeful careers.
