Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Prior supervisory or management experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards related to air cargo operations
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards related to aircraft loading
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Intermediate/highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically using electronic devices such as iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and electronically
- Ability to pass a DOT background check and drug screen
- Eligible to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal - as applicable)
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods indoors and outdoors
- Ability to reach, grasp, push, pull, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, squat, kneel, climb, and work at elevated heights
- Ability to hear and respond to spoken voice and audible alarms
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties
- Supervise and oversee the work of loadmasters and cargo handling teams
- Ensure all cargo loading and unloading operations comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with flight crews, ground staff, and air traffic control to ensure efficient and safe cargo operations
- Develop and implement training programs for loadmasters and cargo handlers
- Monitor the weight, balance, and distribution of cargo on aircraft to optimize safety and efficiency
- Conduct pre-flight briefings and provide loadmasters with specific flight instructions
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of load plans, cargo manifests, and other essential documents
- Ensure proper handling and stowage of special cargo, including hazardous materials
- Respond to and resolve any issues or emergencies related to cargo loading and unloading
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the integrity of cargo operations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, including IATA and FAA guidelines
- Evaluate the performance of loadmasters and provide feedback and coaching
- Coordinate with maintenance departments to ensure the availability and safety of loading equipment
- Participate in safety audits and compliance checks related to cargo operations
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork among cargo handling staff
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and guidelines, including overseeing the safe and legal operation of airport vehicles, equipment, and personnel involved in airside and landside operations
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to DOT standards, including reviewing maintenance records, driver qualifications, and safety procedures, and provide training and updates to staff on changes in DOT regulations
