Job Description

Atlas Air Worldwide is a prominent global aviation company specializing in cargo, passenger, and aircraft leasing operations across more than 70 countries. Established with over 30 years of rich history, Atlas Air Worldwide stands out as a leader in outsourced aviation logistics, operating a modern all-Boeing fleet alongside nearly 5,000 dedicated teammates who collaborate seamlessly across operations, technical, and corporate roles. The company prides itself on a foundation built on safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility, ensuring that these core values guide every aspect of its business and customer interaction. As part of a global engine that powers worldwide logistics, the company is committed to delivering outstanding results while fostering a culture of inclusivity, growth, and innovation.

The role at Atlas Air Worldwide involves travel to off-line stations worldwide and the supervision and performance of duties related to loading and unloading aircraft and cargo handling. This position ensures that all company and governmental policies and regulations are strictly adhered to, delivering top-quality service to customers at every turn. The selected candidate must successfully complete initial training and testing for loadmaster certification, encompassing all ground operation aspects such as Weight & Balance, Hazardous Materials, De-icing, Fueling, Special Loads, Catering, Security, and more. Maintaining valid loadmaster certification through annual recurrent training is crucial for ongoing eligibility.

This role entails monitoring and performing various tasks including aircraft loading/unloading, aircraft movement, safety compliance, hazardous materials handling, reporting, and pallet build-up. The ideal candidate will review and analyze load manifests, cargo buildup logs, and weight sheets to accurately generate the flight load plan/load sheet, utilizing company programs to ensure precise Weight & Balance calculations. This position requires meticulous review of cargo documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, with any discrepancies promptly reported to management.

Additionally, the role demands a high level of operational safety to safeguard company aircraft and crew by preventing damage, ensuring the correct use of nets and locks, verifying compliance according to company manuals, and proper handling and paperwork associated with hazardous materials. Contract personnel adherence to safety and regulatory standards must be enforced, and personnel at off-line stations must perform their duties to guarantee timely aircraft arrivals and departures.

Operating the aircraft loading system according to established loading and unloading procedures is a core responsibility, alongside monitoring compliance with pallets, nets, and straps procedures, making certain that relevant equipment is accounted for upon completion. Maintaining thorough company reports, messages, files, logs, and forms is mandatory, including the completion of necessary paperwork such as customs declarations. As a representative of Atlas Air Worldwide, the candidate must have a thorough understanding and adherence to all company safety policies, operational processes, and procedures relevant to the job. Additional duties may be assigned to ensure smooth and efficient operations at all times.

Atlas Air Worldwide values employees who demonstrate dedication and commitment, offering the opportunity to be part of a global team that not only transports goods but also lifts ambition. This is a chance to grow and innovate within a company that emphasizes the importance of people, innovation, and responsibility towards customers and the planet. If you are ready to join a dynamic and purpose-driven aviation company, this role at Atlas Air Worldwide offers a rewarding career path with global exposure and the opportunity to contribute to a leading force in the aviation industry.
