As a prominent player in the air cargo, passenger, and leasing sectors, Atlas Air Worldwide operates a modern all-Boeing fleet maintained and supported by nearly 5,000 dedicated professionals across operational, technical, and corporate functions. With over 30 years of history, the company prides itself on a strong foundation built upon safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility. Atlas Air Worldwide is committed to pushing the boundaries of aviation through innovative solutions and a customer-focused approach that consistently delivers superior service to clients across the globe. This company offers a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills while contributing to a larger mission of moving the world.

The role of Loadmaster at Atlas Air Worldwide is an integral part of the company’s ground operations and cargo handling team. This position involves traveling to off-line stations and overseeing the performance of contract personnel engaged in aircraft loading and unloading, as well as cargo handling. The Loadmaster ensures that all loading activities comply with company and government policies and that excellent service quality is delivered to customers at every stage. Key responsibilities include managing the weight and balance of aircraft cargo, handling hazardous materials, supervising aircraft movement, and ensuring the safety of both the aircraft and crew. The Loadmaster also plays a critical role in generating load plans and loadsheets using company systems, verifying cargo documentation for accuracy, and maintaining all necessary paperwork including customs forms. To succeed, candidates must have a valid Loadmaster certification—which requires passing initial and annual training—and must maintain a current passport to facilitate international travel. The position demands a detail-oriented professional capable of multi-tasking in a safety-conscious environment while promoting compliance with regulations and operational procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work with a world-class fleet and contribute to the mission of delivering excellence in aviation logistics every day. Candidates who have airline cargo, ground handling, and weight and balance experience, along with knowledge of hazardous material handling and air freight terminology, will be well-positioned to thrive. Atlas Air Worldwide welcomes ambitious individuals ready to embrace innovation and teamwork in a fast-paced industry that values responsibility and integrity.
