Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years culinary experience
  • at least one year in a lead cook or sous chef role
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • manage hourly back-of-house staff
  • assist in day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, special and private events
  • oversee stewarding, purchasing and receiving
  • ensure proper food preparation and presentation
  • lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • maintain a cohesive team and efficient delegation
  • work calmly under pressure
