Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficient in English or Spanish
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques food safety and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods move at a rapid pace bend twist and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity for use of cutting tools and kitchen utensils for chopping slicing dicing and other tasks
  • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures cooler/freezer and kitchen area

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line/prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble ingredients according to recipes and specifications including chopping vegetables portioning proteins and preparing sauces and dressings
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients maintain cleanliness and organization at the assigned station
  • Utilize a variety of cooking techniques including grilling sautéing frying and baking to prepare dishes efficiently
  • Manage ingredients including proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and minimize waste follow portion control guidelines
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes address and correct any issues promptly
  • Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed report any shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation communicate effectively with the team to manage orders and address any concerns
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations including proper sanitation practices and hygiene standards clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
