This highly esteemed establishment is currently seeking a Linen Sorter to join its dedicated team. The Linen Sorter plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery and maintenance of clean linen throughout the hospital. In this position, the successful candidate is responsible for distributing clean linen and scrubs to various hospital departments, inspecting linen closets for stock levels and replenishing supplies to appropriate par levels. They will also manage scrub machines by restocking them as needed and consolidating linen trucks to store items appropriately in the clean linen room. The role requires a thorough inspection of linen upon delivery, ensuring all items are free from stains and odors, which is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient care.

Using handheld data collection devices, the Linen Sorter keeps an accurate inventory of linen supplies and restocks units timely and efficiently. This position demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow procedures closely. Responsibilities also include bulk storage room maintenance, organizing carts, handling soiled scrubs, performing pickups, and using data to maintain inventory accuracy. The Linen Sorter must operate in alignment with customer service standards set by the department, supporting the overall mission of NYU Langone Health to provide exceptional medical service.
