Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills required
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English required
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record break times
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain production and merchandising area clean, safe, and presentable
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests and team members to address needs and resolve issues
  • Utilize point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and complete sales
  • Bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving item integrity
  • Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building, ensuring all doors and safe are locked and alarm is set
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
