- 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred

Job Duties
- apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
- ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
- support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries promptly
- assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
- ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and properly recorded
- assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories for proper ordering
- properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling, shelf life and sanitation compliance
- maintain clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising areas
- communicate effectively with management and respond to guests and team members' needs and inquiries
- utilize POS system to accurately take orders and complete sales
- bag orders efficiently preserving item quality and presentation
- set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
- secure building at closing including locking safe, doors and setting alarm
- perform other job-related duties as necessary
