The Line Cook position is an integral role in our culinary team, responsible for preparing food that is both delicious and safe, cooked to the exact specifications of our customers. This role requires a passionate and skilled individual who can handle multiple cooking techniques, including baking, grilling, steaming, and boiling a variety of foods such as meats, vegetables, fish, and poultry. A Line Cook is expected to follow recipes meticulously, measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients accurately to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
In addition to cooking, the Line Cook is charged with maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that utensils, equipment, and dishes are handled properly to comply with food safety standards. The ability to ensure that all ingredients and final products remain fresh is paramount to the role. The Line Cook also takes part in the presentation of the dishes, garnishing and arranging the final plates to create visually appealing meals that our customers will enjoy.
The ideal candidate for this position understands the importance of working collaboratively with other kitchen staff, including waitstaff, dishwashers, and management. They excel at operating under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a calm and focused demeanor to deliver excellent results consistently. The position demands strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for precise knife techniques, as well as physical endurance to stand for long periods and work with intense heat.
Candidates must possess a Current Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate and have at least six months of experience as a prep cook or line cook in a fast-paced fast-casual or full-service restaurant. Job Duties
