Job Requirements
- Minimum six months experience as a prep cook or line cook in a fast-paced fast-casual or full-service restaurant
- Current Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Good interpersonal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety procedures including safe temperatures for food storage and preparation
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on complex dishes
- Interpersonal skills to interact with waitstaff, dishwashers, management, and customers
- Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Accountability for the dishes prepared to meet management and customer expectations
- Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes correctly
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for knife techniques such as chopping, slicing, cutting, and dicing
- Ability to stand for hours, handle extreme heat, and work shifts
- Current Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate

Job Duties
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
