The team at Espetus Churrascaria Concord is currently seeking a passionate and hardworking Cook and Kitchen Assistant (Cook and Prep-Cook) to join their "Back of House" team. This full-time, in-person position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The role is ideal for culinary enthusiasts, especially those with a particular interest or experience in Brazilian cuisine. As an entry-level kitchen position, it provides an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing directly to the preparation and service of diverse menu items. In this role, the Cook and Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing and serving various dishes by closely following recipes and instructions. Tasks extend beyond food preparation to include essential kitchen duties such as light dishwashing, general cleaning, stocking, and assisting with inventory management. The position requires an individual with a strong work ethic who can multitask efficiently within a fast-paced kitchen environment. Working hours are scheduled for full availability during morning shifts from 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday through Saturday, requiring consistent attendance and punctuality. Job Requirements
- One or more years of kitchen experience
- Updated Food Handler's certification
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Ability to reach bend stoop and constantly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs
- Experience in Brazilian food preparation desired
- Knife skills and ability to follow directions
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to stock products and clean work area
- Positive energetic flexible and motivated attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and passion for quality
- Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for actions
- Specific vision skills including close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
