Job Description

101 Chicken is a vibrant and innovative Korean fried chicken restaurant located in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Our establishment is dedicated to blending authentic Korean flavors with state-of-the-art technology to create an unparalleled dining experience. At 101 Chicken, we pride ourselves on using a robot-assisted kitchen system that handles the most labor-intensive and repetitive cooking tasks, allowing our culinary team to focus on creativity, presentation, and the essence of great food. This advanced kitchen technology not only ensures efficiency and consistency but also reduces physical strain on our team members, creating a more comfortable and modern work environment compared to traditional kitchens.

We are actively seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Line Cook / Assistant Manager. This full-time or part-time position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, with work hours typically scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, including full-day shifts and morning shifts until 3:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. As a Line Cook / Assistant Manager at 101 Chicken, you will play a critical role in preparing and cooking menu items while also participating in daily kitchen operations and team management. The position hinges on not only culinary expertise but also leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for culinary professionals who want to work in an environment that embraces modern technology, reduces physical overexertion, and supports professional growth. You will collaborate with a dynamic team, learning and applying various cooking methods while utilizing our robotic kitchen systems to streamline the cooking process. Your responsibilities will include ingredient preparation, cooking, portioning, ensuring proper food storage, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring product freshness, and assisting in kitchen management tasks such as team coordination and operational oversight.

101 Chicken is ideal for individuals who seek a workplace that values teamwork, creativity, and efficiency. We welcome applicants with proven experience in a similar role, strong knowledge of food safety best practices, and a willingness to embrace new technology within the kitchen. Culinary school graduates are encouraged to apply, and bilingual candidates who speak Spanish or Korean will find their language skills an added bonus but not a requirement. The job requires reliable commuting or relocation to Fort Lee, NJ, and presents an exciting path for culinary professionals aiming to advance their careers in a forward-thinking restaurant setting.
